we are longing for spring – it’s still cold outside here – even our cat prefers to stay resting in the armchair near the oven …
Gosh, it must feel as though winter is never going to end if spring still hasn’t arrived for you. I felt that this year it was a very long wait……it began to feel that it might not ever come….but it’s all forgotten as soon as the abundance of life starts pouring through.
Oh, I love the bright faces of the dandelions… shame they always get such a bad name!
Yes, they were like a sea of golden sunshine. I suppose they are prettiest when not on our lawns or flower beds…..but wild like this 🙂
Pleasant picture and words. But! Those little b….s like my lawn, and I’m forever uprooting them only to have two pop up for every one taken out!

lovely – yes. And I have always loved dandelions. I have them in my garden too.
They are such sunny flowers, and the bumble bees adore them 🙂

I’m glad you posted an image of Dandelions … Joanna wondered, just yesterday while looking over our unmowed from lawn, why they are a plant so disparaged. Your photo shows just how beautiful they can be. Little bits of sunshine … right there for us to enjoy, en mass. D
They are indeed like little golden suns, in a sea of lime green.
My Granny used to say that a weed was just a flower growing in the wrong place.
This part of the park has been left uncut so that wild flowers can flourish and feed the bees and butterflies….and our eyes 🙂

Thanks ……I was standing under a cherry blossom tree before writing this, and the white petals were pouring off the branches and swirling like snow around me 🙂 sudden abundance after winters austerity 🙂

The bees have a wonderful angle on life I think….these dandelions seemed to go on forever and the beautiful golden yellow brightened up a cloudy day 🙂

Behind the manicured hedge is an old mill, which has been converted into a lovely home. It sits in the middle of the dandelion park….hence the hedge for privacy!
