Buried deep within the core of each one of us, is our capacity to love.
We need to use that capacity first on our relationship with ourself.
Then like Persephone we can move safely through the places of light and the places of darkness in our lives. Reaching out into relationship with others from our strong and loving core.

About greenmackenzie
Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

Explain! Was this a fortuitously discovered heart on a rock in a stream bed? D
No, but I love that idea.
I drew the heart onto a white stone on the beach, using a pigment stone which I picked up next to it. It’s natural art ….here now and probably washed away with the next high tide 🙂
Post processing made it look as though it was under water…
Got ya … I thought it was something akin to an image of the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast or a sliced tomato. D
Lol….the virgin in a tomato, now that would be worth seeing! We I drew it I wasn’t thinking about Persephone, but reading another post linking Persephone with Spring, my brain got to work!
Well said Seonaid!
Thanks Paula….I was reminding myself as I reworked the photo 🙂
I love your photos!!
I’m following your blog now.
That is all.
🙂
Oh Nikki, thank you. It’s so lovely when someone really likes my images….although they are from out there in the world, they also come from a secret and deep place in me 🙂
I think this is such a difficult ‘task’ altogether, but, now that you are encouraging us so beautifully, I will also have a try… 🙂
It is hard, but its so vital and so healing….and ultimately enables a greater capacity to love others. Love begins at home!
I do indulge in my propensity to love.
Thank you for this simple reminder.

I’m happy to hear that you indulge, and glad that you liked the post.

Thanks shazza…I have a bit of a thing for mythology and metaphors 🙂
