Stroked through seaside grass and clouds,
Winters inner glow.

Well, you can add me to your group of admirers. A beautifully serene shot. Some of us have been lucky to avoid the terrible weather. And yet, I long for snow!
It’s so true, I’m the same…..but am very happy that we missed the terrible storms! How lovely that I have a new admirer, and I love your photos, so it’s mutual admiration 🙂
It’s been a very bad few days here Seonaid. Winter is doing its best to do us in. Your post gave just a little bit of warmth to keep me going. Time to do chores. Thanks. D
Oh David it all sounds rather trying and tiring, I hope you get some rest with your feet up around the stove. Wishing you some spring warmth and light 🙂
The light! Is so …beautiful. I hope you have escaped the bad weather we hear about? This looks calm and serene.
We have been very lucky with the weather, apart from having very little snow this year. There has been rain and wind, but also lots of bright clear days. It looks terrible further south though, the wettest winter on record there.
The west coast I guess. Terrible. It’s on TV every day here. Hope it stops soon.
Winters Inner Glow … perfect.
Happy Valentines Day, Seonaid
Thank you, I hope you glow with inner light on Valentines Night 🙂
What a lovely photo capturing such magical light effects. Your haiku captures the serenity of being part of such a moment. Beautiful.
The light effects from the sinking sun were magical indeed, and the utter calm was infectious, seeping into my soul as I stood on the oceans edge 🙂
Really wonderful Seonaid!!!! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it. You have been posting some beautiful photos yourself 🙂
Oh! Thanks! I would like to say something about your great photos always… but you know, my english is very poor… I think your work is really good, I like it!!! Great week!
I think your English is perfect, especially when you are giving me such great compliments 🙂
wow, beautiful…
Thank you 🙂
Lovely image, Seonaid. The sun’s glow on those grasses is so magical. 🙂
Thanks, the light dropped and turned apricot quite suddenly, and the landscape became so peacefully beautiful right before my eyes…..right place at just the right moment 🙂
Reblogged this on Lavender Turquois.
Thanks for the reblog
Low, warm light on beach grass is one of my favorite things ever. Beautiful photo!
Oh it’s one of my favourite things ever too……it sweeps me away to somewhere special. Delighted that you enjoyed my apricot blushing grasses:-)
Aaaaahhhhhhh….I want to live here.
I’m sure you would love it, but do remember that this is South East Scotland on a good day 🙂
I love the poem. The photo goes perfectly with your beautiful poem!
Thanks Amy, I was trying to catch in words the soft surprise of warm winter light on a cold day at the oceans edge 🙂
Such beautiful colors accompanied by great text.
Thanks Anarette, the colours really did take my breath away as the sunlight softened into the days end. That dark line of seaweed really helped too 🙂
Beautiful landscape…. Happy Valentines Day Seonaid.
I hope you had a lovely Valentines too 🙂
Beautiful words and image, warming on this cold miserable day. Hope you’ve been keeping well, I seem to have missed your posts somehow,
I often find blogs I follow disappear off my reader….glad you’ve found me again, and delighted to have warmed you on this wild winter day 🙂
Gives me a warm feeling, Seonaid, even though I know it’ll be pretty chilly 🙂
Really lovely!
It was quite cold, proper winter weather, but I was well wrapped up and toasty in my winter gear. When you have dogs you learn to acquire appropriate clothing for all weathers 🙂
The colours are BEAUTIFUL….
Thanks Sue, the colours really were stunning….I’m just so glad I managed to catch them with the camera
🙂
Mesmerising, I could stand there for hours ★
I did Gilly, and the colours went through some wonderful changes, and then the light was gone and the cold crept in through the soles of my feet 🙂
Beautiful composition and colours 🙂
It was an eye catching scene, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
marvellous!
Thank you 🙂
Beautiful. This warm glow you have captured seems to be in places I have never noticed before. I’ve taken many photos this month of flooded valleys, trees and the sea, here in Norfolk – it seems to be everywhere. Perhaps it’s the light, perhaps its the mindfulness working…
Rachael it has looked awful down in Norfolk, I hope you’re managing to keep dry and safe. So much water in such a small span of time. We have been so much luckier up here with quite a lot of dry bright days. I’m delighted you enjoyed the image, and I’m happy to share the warm light 🙂
I agree with ordinary good. This is so beautiful. Brings peace and calmness just looking at it. Great work!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you have a lovely day.
Big hug, Dina
Wishing you a wonderful Valentines too! Delighted you feel the calm peace which filled the landscape this evening. It was beauty which left me smiling long after the light had gone 🙂
Beautiful. We are enjoying ripe apricots in summer here. They glow just as you describe.
Thank you, and I’m sure your softly glowing apricots taste as delicious as they sound.
We have certainly enjoyed some truly sun ripened apricots this summer. Inner glows in our tummies:-)
