Summers Decline

 Summer falls from us

Sipping rose tea heedlessly

As the dark creeps in

About greenmackenzie

Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

    What an inviting shot.

  3. Perfectly captured the change of the season…I, too, have begun to drink more hot tea during the day and noticed the sun shifting its angle, the shorter days, the changing light….here we are again, going into another winter.

    • Yup all those little clues there for us to notice. This September has been especially sunny so it feels as though summer has woven her spell for longer. Candles, boots and warm cups of tea…all signs of winter on the way 😊

  4. Enjoying the sun with a cup of tea would be ideal situation..and especially in open air! I love the lighting in your image -truly beautiful and meaningful!
