Coullin Candyfloss
Spun in soft sugary tufts
Across cold black teeth
Day 3 of the 7 day nature photo challenge which Amy invited me to join.
Click here for day 1, The Dawn
Day 2, Mountainous Half-Light.
Today I’m inviting a lovely blogger from Sweden who visited me in Edinbugh. She takes beautiful natural shots and shares my love of the natural world, trees, mountains and hairy dogs. Pop across and look at Tina’s lovely work for yourself.

About greenmackenzie
Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands
What delicious scenery and sky!
It’s a treat for the senses Fi😊
Gorgeous! and the haiku is great, too
Thanks Laura💕
Wow. A truly stunning photo and a wonderful haiku to go with it.
Thanks Susanne…..I do enjoy putting a haiku together…it’s a good brain workout😊
AWESOME photograph. Wish I was driving down that road right now!
Me too…..although today the weather has closed in so it will be all mist and cloud….the golden yellows and blues hidden for a while😊
A beautiful chill!
Ha….very good Gilly😆
Amazing shots Seonaid – cotton puff balls floating all across the sky.
Light and lovely clouds. Gorgeous image, Seonaid. 🙂
Thanks Robin…..I thought they were posing rather nicely for me!!
A very fine image.
Many thanks sir😊
The conclusion is now inescapable … you live in one of the loveliest places on Earth. I like the color saturation in this one. D
David, one days like this I can only agree….the shifting light and cloud drama played out among the mountains and lochs is captivating😊 This photo is as it came out of the camera…..I felt it needed no adjusting✨💕✨
I love clouds and blue skies .. What a beautiful landscape 😃
It’s stunning Julie, and I’m sure you have some similar views in NZ?
We do have some beautiful scenery in NZ. You and your camera would love it! 😀
It’s on my list….but my list is long and growing instead of shrinking each year! I shared a flat with some NZ new graduates who were in Scotland doing work experience for a year. The 2 girls were working with me in the hospital and the 2 guys had bar jobs and rugby jobs!! I have fond memories of some wild nights😊 …..many, many years ago now!!
Fabulous .. 😃
This is definitely a ‘come away with me’ moment, Seonaid. 🙂 I can’t keep pace with all the wonderful posts around at the moment. Some days are like that, and the nature challenge has certainly spawned a few. Yes, I’ll definitely come away with you to the Coullins 🙂
The nature challenge has certainly caused a daily flood of some rather lovely images😊 I’d be delighted to see you up here among the Coullin Jo…..it’s a photographers dream….you just don’t know where to start looking!
Glorious shot, Seonaid!
Thanks Sue….it was a favourite view of the day for me…and yes I was grinning madly😆💕
You do realize that I started to drool looking at the cotton candy! Yummy description and an incredible picture! I LOVED Tina’s work too!
Tina has such a wonderful feel for nature, and surprisingly Sweden and Scotland share quite a lot in common….both in terms of the natural world and culture😊
Those fluffy clouds always sweep my heart away Gywnn💕
Beautiful freezing cold candyfloss!!
Yup, it would freeze your teeth for sure😵😳
Yes, it really does look like Candy Floss. I loved it when I was a child, but can’t imagine eating anything as sweet as that now. 😕
I’m the same Sylvia, I don’t really have a sweet tooth….it’s cheese and potato chips which are my downfall😆
Me too and salted nuts. 🙂
Mmmmm…..
Cotton candy for sure, lovely.
Love the way the clouds swirl in tufts like this💕
