A seed of light
Birthed from tender petals
Released into the world.
Eternal recreation,
Innocence and fresh hope,
All at the mercy of the worlds sharp claws.
Yet its beauty saves the tiny seed.
It catches our breath
Holds us spell bound in wonder.
Thus we see beautys purpose revealed in the petals of a pink flower.

About greenmackenzie
Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands
I’m a sucker for pink flowers and this one’s just GORGEOUS!
Thank you very much, the light was perfect for showing it off at its best 🙂
Thank you for sharing something that is so special.
My pleasure as always Charlie. Beauty is best shared I feel 🙂
Such a beautiful way to treat a little living soul.
🙂
Bursting with optimism!
Always 🙂
Beautiful mood Seonaid!
Wonderful morning light, perfectly filtered through pink petals 🙂
It really, really was !
Lovely combination.
I hope you don’t mind me mentioning that you have been sabotaged by an apostrophe which should be chased away from “Its” (“it’s” denotes “it is”) and plonked into “world’s”. What a difference one little speck can make! 🙂
Oh my you’re right….a very naughty apostrophe goblin has invaded my post…once they start they are very contagious. Only one remedy, total removal in edit 🙂
Definitely a spellbinder, Seonaid. 🙂
Glad you agree Jo 🙂
That photo is incredible!! How did you manage to catch that moment of the light looking like it was coming out of the flower?
I was lucky to be in the garden at just the right moment as the rising sun was lifting above the flowers. One of those dream moments for anyone into photography….you just know the light is delicious and snap away 🙂 nature unfolding at her best 🙂
You are amazing. Do you have a website where you sell any of your work? I’ve never really been into photography that much, but your work just speaks to me. It seriously sweeps me away and gives off such a good feeling! It is like I can feel the positive intention coming through the photograph. xxoo.
Wow, that’s such a beautiful comment, thank you. I don’t have a website selling my work at the moment, but it’s so funny that you ask because I have just been looking into setting something like this up…just this week! Watch this space for an update. I was thinking of cards and calendars…..perhaps posters? Your comment has come at the perfect moment to encourage me, just like the sun over the flowers 🙂
A seed of light — so very beautiful!
I was so delighted by the beautiful play of light through the petals Amy…..it really did leave me breathless. Also inspired 🙂
oh…my… that is exquisitely wonderful 🙂 both the words and the photograph…rising to my feet, ovation
Wow, Liana, what a delicious comment. I’ll take a shy little bow to your ovation 🙂 so glad you liked the post.
you caught my breath with this image – even before I read your wonderful verse
Laura what a gorgeous comment. The light through the soft pink petals caught my breath too, and left me smiling 🙂
You are really special! Such a lovely photographer and author. We look forward to each new post.
Hey guys it’s great to see you on the blog 🙂
It’s made me smile to know you’re reading along. You were wonderful company on our amazing holiday through the Eastern Med.
Hi Seonaid. So glad to hear from you.Have you received any of our photos or email? We have sent several notes to infernal machines, but have not heard back. Do you have another email address? How is Andi ? We are fine and today had to rescue our little granddaughter,Ella, who was stung by a bee at school. She felt better after getting some of her favorite treats.
We think you live in the most glorious part of the world. the nature and climate are exhilarating.
We are still looking for a special dog to join our family. How did you find your dogs and what breed are they? Do you hear from any of our cruise mates? hope someday you come visit in California
Best Wishes and Lots of Hugs, Judy & Stuart
