Light fall over a deliciously brooding sea.
Bruised by the rise and fall of the day
She plots to reflect her darkness upwards
And swallow the dazzling light.
He has other plans
Spilling his infinite light across sky and grass
With careless abandon.
And on they dance into her dark embrace.

About greenmackenzie
Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

Are you going to enter the Field Notes from Fatherhood’s photo competition or what? Your photography is AMAZING. Would love you to enter. That’s all I have to say.
Wow, what a wonderful comment…how can I refuse an invitation like that 🙂 I’ll look some summer shots out!
That light – fantastic. Wish I was there!

Absolutely stunning!
🙂
So very gorgeous! I could bathe in this light.
And what a soft golden bath that would be 🙂 it always amazes me the infinite variety produced by the simple combination of sun over water.
Great Seonaid, the light is amazing, well done! 😉
It was an amazingly beautiful evening, and the light was captivating 🙂
Beautiful! Both photo and poem.

Reblogged this on Fabulous fashions & Amazing discounts.
That is fabulous Seoniad – not the weather we got on our golf tour 🙂
Oh I’m sorry to hear that….when did you visit?
This was taken on Gullane beach, just behind the famous golf course…..perhaps you played there?
We came up towards the end of September – 22nd-24th. We only got as far north as Dunbar which we played on a partly foggy day, a bit like Pebble Beach 🙂 Then we moved inland to the Roxburghe where the weather just got worse. But we carried on as you must – we suffer for our ‘art’ 🙂
OMG … have to get to lab … but I just HAD to stop and tell you that this image quite literally took my breath away. Oh my Seonaid, that’s a real beauty. Wow! D
Glad you like it David. As I walked down through the sand dunes I caught glimpses of the wonderful sinking light….this was the first vista across the water through the grass
Simply beautiful. I love the colours in the photo, and the poem is so appropriate. Great work.
Thanks Michael, it was a stunning end to the day.
