Beautiful together.
Thanks Anna Christine, this piece of Skye weaves softness and drama beautifully 🙂
Your words are a perfect fit for the photo, and of course you were inspired to write by what you saw. Did the thoughts come as you were standing there looking or later, as you processed the image?
Thanks 🙂
Well the thought of the Coullin as jagged razors came to me as I moved through this landscape. Then I was captured by the softness of the light and the reflections as we came to to Loch Kilchrist……from these two ideas I wove the haiku, later at home.
Great title, for some, totally un-connected moment _ I was thinking Occam. Go figure.
Ha….that’s funny. I love a title which gets me thinking…wondering what’s to come 🙂
Pictures and text = Elegant combination.
Thank you 🙂
Wonderful image, mood and a great words, Seonaid.
What a great comment, thank you! We’ve been enjoying the shifting light, and you might like to know that there’s a tale of a water fairy in this loch 🙂
Gorgeous soft colours and words, Seonaid 🙂
Thanks Jo, the clouds filter the light beautifully up here….as long as they’re not too dense!
Another fabulous image Seonaid
Many thanks, this is a favourite spot of mine for atmosphere, and for photos….you never quite know what you’ll find the light doing as you come round the corner into this sheltered Glen 🙂
Lovely haiku and the soft earthy colour range in the photo are fab.
I’ve been loving the soft colours of the earth on this visit North Gilly, there’s been lots of soft cloud filtered light. Glad you enjoyed the haiku 🙂
Such perfect reflections!
It’s always a treat to visit this sheltered loch to see what’s being reflected….I caught some late shots on my way back this evening….which I will share soon.
You know there was a water monster, a Kelpie living in this loch…..
Lovely photo, great haiku. You create a fabulous tension in that last line…
Thanks Rachael….it’s been a week of tension between soft warm sunshine and wild wind tossed clouds….and of course the landscape on Skye does that beautiful sweep from soft green glens, up into the jagged rock drama of the Coullins….lots of creative tension 🙂
It looks and sounds like when the earth began… beautiful!
Thanks Gwynn, and that’s not far off the truth up here on Skye….the whole landscape is formed from some very ancient rocks 🙂
How wonderfully moody.
Thanks Fi, it’s been wonderfully moody weather, shifting in moments from sunshine to clouds….it’s very exciting 🙂
