New Year New You

Find who you’ve become

In the space between the years

Don’t mourn the outworn

Notice with fondness

All that passed out of your life

Embrace the space left

Wishing all of my wonderful readers and everyone who comments and shares a very spacious and joyful 2016, filled with life’s magic. It’s time for me to get cleaning, sweeping all of last years dust out of the corners and making space in crowded drawers and cupboards for something new✨💕✨Enjoy each moment now, as it flows through your breath and body.

About greenmackenzie

Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands

Beautifully expressed in those haiku, Seonaid. 🙂 And the tranquil photos. The New Year will see pretty much the old me, I’m afraid. But I’ve lived with her this long… 🙂
You’ll be rushing back into it all on Monday, no doubt! Very best wishes to you!

An inspiring call for courage & joy. (Perhaps, the courage to find joy…) Happy new year.

  10. Thanks Seonaid for suggesting a positive way to, at the same time, leave something behind and to welcome the challenges represented by something new. Joanna and I will endeavor to rise to your prescription. D

    • My pleasure David….if only I could follow my own prescription at all times😜✨💕✨Good thoughts to hand on to though…and as another commenter suggested, perhaps there’s a helpful mantra tucked in there!

It is a strange time, this time between the years. Is it just me but this year it feels even more strongly than usual that there is the possibility to leave the outworn behind and to move on into the new.

    • That’s my feeling exactly Suzanne…a movement towards something different where the old patterns are dissolved. Change is afoot across the globe…

      • Suzanne says:

Absolutely though I think we have to tune in to it and invite it into our lives – clearing out the cupboards (both inner and outer) is essential too. Actually these thoughts might find their way into a blog post – thanks so much for the interesting discussion.

  20. Laura Bloomsbury says:

Oh how beautifully calm are these images.
‘Don’t mourn the outworn ‘ – brilliant lines for a 2016 mantra! Happy New Year Seonaid and many thanks for your visits south of the border to my blog 🙂

    • I always love to visit and see what you’re up to Laura😆
The images were taken back in early November in a now deserted bay off the SW wing of Skye. I could have sat looking out at that light fotever✨💕✨
