Find who you’ve become
In the space between the years
Don’t mourn the outworn
Notice with fondness
All that passed out of your life
Embrace the space left
Wishing all of my wonderful readers and everyone who comments and shares a very spacious and joyful 2016, filled with life’s magic. It’s time for me to get cleaning, sweeping all of last years dust out of the corners and making space in crowded drawers and cupboards for something new✨💕✨Enjoy each moment now, as it flows through your breath and body.

About greenmackenzie
Hi, I'm Seonaid, and I share my home on the shores of Loch Ness deep in the Scottish Highlands with my husband, my son and a couple of dogs. I love art which is here now and gone tomorrow...like food and nature...but also have a passion for vintage and the ancient past! Nature is my favourite muse, with her wild ever shifting seasons. I have been using and teaching mindfulness and relaxation for over 12 years, and have yet to become any sort of expert :-) I'm a Psychotherapist and Cancer Support Specialist in Maggies Highlands
Beautiful images, and a great philosophy to emulate, expressed so well.
Many thanks, and I’ve now found my way back to your site too✨💕✨
I wish you a wonderful and creative new year, 2016!
Being in a beautiful place is not always merely geography. So lucky you are, so serene your thoughts. Have a brave New Year!
Beautifully expressed in those haiku, Seonaid. 🙂 And the tranquil photos. The New Year will see pretty much the old me, I’m afraid. But I’ve lived with her this long… 🙂
You’ll be rushing back into it all on Monday, no doubt! Very best wishes to you!
Beautiful images and great advice for welcoming the New Year, Seonaid. Wishing you a wonderful year. 🙂 xx
positive words and gorgeous locations – Happy New Year
Such wise words and serene photos … I’ll be doing my best Seonaid ! Wishing you a very happy new year , with 2016 creeping ever closer with the ticks of the clock I hope you enjoy all that comes your way x
ps maybe a chance to explore more with watercolour brushes once again rather than bristles too 🙂
As always, a WISE post with incredible pictures. You ARE a dear person. Thanks for sharing your enlightened thinking with the power of your photography. I look forward to a NEW YEAR’s worth of wisdom from you! Happy New Year!
An inspiring call for courage & joy. (Perhaps, the courage to find joy…) Happy new year.
Thanks Penny, it’s always nice to be called inspiring!
Thanks Seonaid for suggesting a positive way to, at the same time, leave something behind and to welcome the challenges represented by something new. Joanna and I will endeavor to rise to your prescription. D
My pleasure David….if only I could follow my own prescription at all times😜✨💕✨Good thoughts to hand on to though…and as another commenter suggested, perhaps there’s a helpful mantra tucked in there!
Reblogged this on Redefining Meditation and commented:
I absolutely love this poem! It couldn’t be more right on!
Oh Esther, thanks so much for the reblog, what a great compliment, and delighted that you like the words😄💕
Have a wonderful New Year!
Many thanks Gilly…you too😆✨🍾✨
The Happiest of New Years to you and all of your followers. We are blessed to have you in our lives!
Thanks so much Deanna, wonderful to have in my blogging life too✨💕✨
Wow, love the words…and the glorious & serene light and shadows of Skye…Best of the New Year, and much joy!
Thanks so much, delighted you liked the haiku….and of course Skye light is always stunning and ever changing:-)
Make sure you play loud music while cleaning. And every now and then dance with the vacuum cleaner. Love your haiku’s and photos.
Have a magical, wonderful 2016, Seonaid! xx
I’ll do my best on all counts Marion…and the dogs were dancing with me this morning…shedding hair as I cleaned it up!!
Haha, if you’re ever in need of cat hair, please let me know. I’d be delighted to send it all to ya. 😛
I have more than enough of that too…two cats, three dogs and a rather hairy husband means we always have excess fluff😜
Happy New Year Seonaid! Looking forward to more of your wonderful posts in 2016.
Thanks John, you always make me smile 🙂
Wonderful, such serenity in these photos! Wish you a Happy New Year ✨
Thanks, serenity and the infinite breath out was the feeling I was trying for, so that’s great to hear. It was an incredibly still calm day off the Isle of Skye…
Best wishes for the New Year.
And to you…thanks for all your visits over the year…and for sharing your own lovely images
It is a strange time, this time between the years. Is it just me but this year it feels even more strongly than usual that there is the possibility to leave the outworn behind and to move on into the new.
That’s my feeling exactly Suzanne…a movement towards something different where the old patterns are dissolved. Change is afoot across the globe…
Absolutely though I think we have to tune in to it and invite it into our lives – clearing out the cupboards (both inner and outer) is essential too. Actually these thoughts might find their way into a blog post – thanks so much for the interesting discussion.
Oh how beautifully calm are these images.
‘Don’t mourn the outworn ‘ – brilliant lines for a 2016 mantra! Happy New Year Seonaid and many thanks for your visits south of the border to my blog 🙂
I always love to visit and see what you’re up to Laura😆
The images were taken back in early November in a now deserted bay off the SW wing of Skye. I could have sat looking out at that light fotever✨💕✨
So lovely! 💖😊. Happy New Year! 🍾🎉🍾🎉🍾
Thanks Trini, wishing you a creative 2016✨🍸🍾✨
Thank you! 🌬💕💕💕
